Summer of Smoked Fish If you’ve never smoked fish, this is something you must try this summer. My family loves to fly fish, and any excuse to do that sends us out the door driving to our favorite spot. In Colorado, you’ll mostly find trout, especially in the Rocky Mountains. There are some daring individuals that fish for carp in the South Platte closer to the eastern plains regions. Colorado’s weather this season has been up and down, but has actually dumped a pretty good amount of snow in Lakewood, Colorado. An old photograph is a window into another time, a memory preserved in amber, and the beginning of a story waiting to be told.  One crisp fall day, as I strolled the aisles of an antique shop with my parents, I stumbled across a treasure trove of stories - a box of dusty, old military photos that someone had donated when they passed away. Little Baby Theo visited me recently in the studio in Lakewood, Colorado to try out some new set pieces. I had an amazing time with him and his sweet momma. A bit about Valentine’s Day and the expectations of LOVE I had a friend tell me a story shared with her by a pregnant mom. If you don’t know much about pregnancy, what you need to know for this is that it can be an emotional rollercoaster that at times can leave both parents speechless. Valentine’s Minis have been a blast at the studio! I’m using a new medium of seamless paper this year and and bright white is great to design color pops on! I have so many more colors to photograph in front of. This simple balloon heart set has been fun for kids, families (and the pups) to come by and play on!
