The Air Fryer craze is still going strong yet I have to admit I was reluctant to buy and use one for a long time because we have a perfectly functioning oven, so I didn’t really see the point. However I gave in at the end of last year and the more I use it, the more I realise how fabulously convenient, easy-to-use and more efficient it is…. and now I want a bigger one haha! The compact appliance helps save time and energy in cooking, and over time will save on household bills too. Not to mention there is just about ANYTHING you can cook using them. So what is more convenient than using an Air ..read more

An amazing 48 hours. Although I don’t have a lot of food to blog about from our visit, I had to share and recommend Dublin as a place to visit. Some things we did; *Stayed at The Lansdowne Hotel (15-20 min walk from the centre); nice hotel and plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants nearby and in between. *Walking Tour; Highlights & Hidden Gems of Dublin by Original Dublin – we real ..read more

I came up with this recipe on a Friday evening when I wanted something comforting, using up the feta and mushrooms I had left in the fridge, and to accompany a well earned glass of white wine. I always have arborio rice in the my cupboard too along side basmati rice, pasta and cous cous etc as they are long lasting ingredients and staples of some meals that I like to create on a whim. It turned out to be a lovely meal and low calorie too. Approx 412 cal per portion. Ingredients (for 2 people); 150g button mushrooms, slices Olive oil 1 small red onion, finely diced 1 garlic clove, crushed 150 ..read more

If you like trying different world cuisines, vibrant bars, and somewhere that everybody is welcome, then you’re likely going to want to visit the new Cambridge St Collective in Sheffield City Centre. Not only a food hub, they also host events such as Wellness groups & activities, cookery classes and more. Here’s my feedback so far… Europe’s largest purpose built food hall boasts 20 kitchens, 4 bars, activities and a rooftop terrace, and it seems like it could be the new place to be. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the VIP launch event on the 22nd May where the crowds were ..read more

We were kindly invited to see what the recently refurbished Three Magpies based in Brinsworth, which is part of the Sizzling Pubs franchise, had to offer, and the answer to that is LOADS. As with other Sizzling Pubs, the menu at Three Magpies is VAST but at least that means they should be able to cater for everyone. AD|INVITE Clearly a hit with the locals, when we arrived the large, sunny beer garden was full of friends and families and we were straight at ease and warmly welcomed. The inside dining areas is big, so I don’t think you’d need to book ahead unless you are going as a large gro ..read more
