Beautiful Thai Restaurant based close to Sheffield city centre on the corner of Eccelsall Road & London Road, Tarn Thai serves exquisitely delicious and extremely aesthetic dishes with the traditional flavours of Thailand. We believe the prices here are modest compared to the sheer quality of the dishes and service. Ben and I were kindly invited along to try a magnificent feast at Tarn Thai recently, the glorious food just kept on coming. Everything was superb and delicious, we especially enjoyed the mains – the Pad Thai and Lamb Shank Massaman blew us away, and the Tom Yum Soup was di ..read more

Gaaga’s is a family-run, small business that have a passion for family, flavour and SPICE. Their flavours and ingredients come from treasured recipes and collective experiences. I’ve tried their Cobra Hot Sauce which is outstanding, as well as their Wildebeest BBQ Sauce which is packed full of favour. They also offer a Bumblebee Honey & Mustard Sauce which looks divine. A small, independent business from Kent that attended regular pop-ups & food markets – they’re definitely one to watch out for! La Vaca is an independent, family run Steakhouse based in Broomhill, providing a taste of South America. Rodrigo (born in Chile) and wife Gloria want to bring a taste of the fabulous steak restaurants of Chile and Argentina to the UK, using the best local, quality beef and cooking over an authentic open charcoal grill. Ben took me to La Vaca for my birthday meal in February and it was bloody good. It was a Monday evening, however the restaurant started to become busy from about 7pm which was a good sign, and we quickly saw why… We decided to go for the Parrillada – Minimum of 2 people £21.50pp ..read more

A snug but lovely, award-winning cafe (bit of a hidden gem) based in the heart of Chester, serving delicious food from breakfasts to hot lunches as well as Sunday lunch, and a range of hot drinks and some alcoholic beverages too! Book ahead to avoid disappointment For my birthday in February this year, we went to Chester for the weekend, and for our Sunday brunch we booked a table at recommended Naughty Badger Bistro, set in one of the old Tudor buildings in the heart of the city centre.
