My name is Crystal, and I am a self-taught pet fashion photographer. Over time, I began to receive questions about my photography techniques and the dog fashion accessories that I showcased on Instagram, so I expanded AGY to its own website where I could share photography tips, small shop fashion discounts, pet-friendly projects, and fun dog lifestyle articles.

We love to celebrate our dogs' birthdays! Each birthday always includes a special treat like gourmet dog biscuits from our local dog bakery, pup ice cream, or a tower constructed entirely of dog bones. This year, I decided I would make Bailey a very special dog birthday cake from scratch inspired by her love for muffins.
Often on the weekends, I will sit at the breakfast table drinking coffee and eating a muffin. Bailey always wants a bite of my muffin and occasionally she wins even though they are not the best things for her to eat. So, I decided that for her birthday I would make her a straw ..read more

I have been photographing and sharing pictures of my pets on Social Media since the start of Facebook. Some of the photos that I shared early on, while definitely portraying the love that I had for my pets were not, let's say, the best quality. However, over the years I have learned several easy tricks that have elevated the quality of my photos and I want to share these secrets with you today!
So, if you are ready to take better dog photos, keep reading.

Let's talk CBD for dogs and whether it actually works to treat dog anxiety. First things first. I am not a veterinarian, so before adding CBD or any other supplement to your pet's diet, I recommend that you do your own research and consult with your veterinarian.
That being said, I am excited to help you in your research by sharing my personal experiences with pet CBD and specifically discussing my three go-to pet CBD products. First, let's talk about CBD in general, and why I turned to this all-natural remedy for dog anxiety.

I absolutely love holiday dog photos. The innocence in a dog's eyes perfectly captures the magic of Christmas. So, every year I try to come up with a new way to capture this joyous season through the lens of my sweet dogs.
Below I have listed five of my favorite dog Christmas photography ideas for you to try this year.
1. Keep It Classic with the Christmas Tree
Because I have small dogs I rarely photograph my pups under the Christmas tree. They are so small that all you rarely see is the base of the tree.
So, for small pups, I recommend capturing your pup's photo in front of the tree in one o ..read more

One of my favorite Thanksgiving activities (besides stuffing a ton of turkey and gravy in my mouth) is to decorate the Thanksgiving table. This year I wanted to add a special touch to my table by incorporating dog paw prints in the table decorations. I have seen dog paw print art throughout Pinterest, but I have never actually tried to create any myself. So, I decided to give it a whirl and create dog paw print turkeys for my name place cards.
Here is how I did it:

I have a sweet maltipoo named Chloe. She is white with apricot spots and has soft floppy ears. She is certainly a cuddle bug, but being very young and larger than our other dogs, she often tries to play a little to rough with them. As a result, we lovingly tell her every Wednesday that she should wear pink because "mean girls wear pink on Wednesdays." (Check out Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan if you missed that reference.) And, of course, if she should naturally wear pink on Wednesdays, why not take the next step and dye the tips of her ears pink too?

I have seen so many amazing photographs on Instagram of adorable puppies and kitties wearing our handmade beaded dog necklaces. These photos are always so impressive to me because I know that small accessories can be challenging, especially if you are new to pet fashion photography. So, for those who are just getting started with their AGY dog necklace collection, and even for our pros who would like a refresher, here are my top five tips for taking amazing photos of your pet wearing AGY accessories:

While we are partial to necklaces at AGY as our choice of accessory, we also love photographing our pups with other fashion props, such as oversized hair bows, sunglasses, and hats. These accessories are so fun, but can be particularly challenging to work with if you have a young puppy or just a really feisty pet.
To help out those with particularly spunky pups, here are some tips that I have used in the past that may help encourage your sweet pup to wear that giant hair bow, those trendy sunnies, or that hilarious hat.

Almost every weekend, my husband and I wind down with a delicious cheese board and a glass of wine. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing more relaxing. Of course our dogs are always right by our sides and getting nibbles of dog-approved cheeses. It's an amazing family moment where time almost stops. Our pups know exactly what is about to happen every time a cheese board is prepared, and they LOVE IT.
So, it got me to thinking - I should create a cheese board that is made specifically for my dogs! So, I immediately went to Pinterest for ideas, and quickly came across this darling trend of ..read more

At our house we LOVE coffee and we LOVE our dogs. So, I set out to create a dog friendly in home coffee bar where the whole family can hang out in the mornings.
Here is the breakdown of how I put together this coffee bar/dog hangout in one Saturday afternoon with decor that I already had in my home.
How to Create an Easy DIY Coffee Bar with Storage
For the base of the coffee bar, I chose a side table with drawers that I had previously purchased from Wayfair that matches my home decor. I then relocated my Nespresso machine and milk frother to its new location (freeing up valuable kitchen counte ..read more
