Got to love this diamond maple leaf brooch. This dazzler was passed down from Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother to Queen Elizabeth II. During the summer of 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth made a state visit to both Canada and the United States. It is a platinum and diamond breathtaker crafted by Asprey (a 236-year-old-company!) from George to his wife.

Greece was embroiled in continual political strife. Some of Constantine’s predecessors had to live in exile as he would come to do in 1967, just a mere three years after his ascent to the throne. The monarchy was abolished in 1973.
