Following the conclusion of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has released an official statement addressing the behaviors of delegations in Malmo. Peter van de Veire, VRT’s commentator to the Eurovision Song Contest confirmed to the Belgian fan media website Songfestival.be that Belgium plans to attend the 2025 contest and select their participant via a national selection. Instead, his performance from Semi Final 2 will be used.
