ALEXANDRIA, VA-The Hon. Robert “Bob” T.S. Colby, a longtime Alexandria resident, passed away April 16 at age 95 at Inova Alexandria Hospital. He was an Alexandria General District Court judge for more than 40 years.
Judge Colby served in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring with the rank of brigadier general in the U.S. Army Reserve. He flew planes as a private pilot and taught future pilots as an aviation educator.
For many years, he was a member of the Advisory Council Board with the Alexandria Chapter of The Salvation Army.
