Brad Holley does not take life too seriously. Even now, despite winning the Million Dollar Pool Design Challenge in his second year attempting the competition, Holley says he never saw himself as a designer. The Million Dollar Pool Design Challenge brings together pool designers from around the globe to design hypothetical pools according to a theme — with zero budget constraints. City of Plano to become first North Texas city to implement all-electric trash truck

The City of Plano is introducing an all-electric trash collection truck on Thursday, boasting becoming the first city in North Texas to implement a truck of its kind. The truck can serve 1,100 homes on a single charge, according to a news release. The implementation of the new truck aims to support environmental goals by eliminating emissions and reducing operational costs traditionally spent on fuel and maintenance. The Local Good Coffee Co., a locally brewed coffee and food joint with pickleball courts and an event space, celebrated a grand opening last week. The grand opening brought over 600 people. including Coffee Co. director Ashley Khastehdel and Plano City Council member Julie Holmer. The coffee shop is part of The Local Good Collective, a coalition of for-profit and nonprofit organizations created by Chase Oaks Church that offers a myriad of community services.
