The Dallas Cowboys needed a running back, so they went with a familiar face to solve that issue.
Bringing back Ezekiel Elliott was bittersweet to some fans, as they still like him, but he’s by no means the player he once was.
Nonetheless, as much as one shouldn’t expect an explosion or regularly big performances from him, former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson still believes he can be very serviceable for this organization.
Talking about Undisputed, he made a case for Elliott, who is still a starter in this league.

Usually, after a team wins 12 games but doesn’t win the Super Bowl, they try to be aggressive the following offseason.
In this particular instance, Dallas has won 12 games in three consecutive seasons.
However, they haven’t made many big moves after losing in the wildcard round to the Green Bay Packers.
One could argue that they have had more losses than additions.
This is why NFL analyst Ross Tucker thinks this particular offseason is one of the saddest in franchise history.
“This is probably the saddest offseason I’ve ever seen them have…The owner says they’re all in and their action ..read more

The Dallas Cowboys were having a quiet and some would say terrible offseason, and it resulted in many people criticizing them for not upgrading after losing in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last season.
Perhaps their biggest need was a legitimate starting running back after Tony Pollard left in free agency, and a couple of days ago, they brought back Ezekiel Elliott, who had departed last year on a one-year contract.
Elliott is happy to be back, and he even called the Cowboys “home,” per Around The NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys have had a very lackluster offseason, and it looks like their main focus is to make sure they have enough salary cap space to hand out lucrative extensions to multiple stars, including quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott is heading into the last year of his contract, and there are whispers that his future with the team past 2024 isn’t assured.
Last August, the Cowboys made a trade with the San Francisco 49ers to land Trey Lance, the No. 3 pick in the 2021 draft who has been considered a potential-laden QB, but on Wednesday they decline ..read more

The Dallas Cowboys have welcomed back the return of an old friend this offseason.
With a need at running back, they brought back former All-Pro tailback Ezekiel Elliott on a one-year deal worth a max of $3 million.
The 28-year-old will seemingly be more of a role player as opposed to what he once was in his first seven career seasons with Dallas.
News broke Wednesday about Elliott’s new jersey number for the upcoming year.
According to official team site, Elliott will wear No. 15, which is the number that he wore while at Ohio State.

The Dallas Cowboys made headlines in a positive way for the first time this offseason after signing running back Ezekiel Elliott to a one-year deal after he spent one year away from the franchise with the New England Patriots.
After losing Tony Pollard in free agency to the Tennessee Titans, there are plenty of available touches in the Cowboys’ backfield, and Zeke might see more of them than many fans originally thought he would.
The Athletic’s Jon Machota quoted Cowboys VP of Player Personnel Will McClay as saying, “Zeke’s a winning, starting r ..read more

As harsh as it may sound, many people do not take the Dallas Cowboys seriously anymore.
The players talk about the pride that comes with having that blue star on your helmet, and they continue to be the biggest brand in all sports, but they’re just not relevant, football-wise.
That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton couldn’t help but laugh when he heard Ezekiel Elliott talk about chasing a ring with the Cowboys.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, he claimed that America’s Team has become a laughing stock, calling out Jerry Jones for not signing Dak Prescott or CeeDee Lamb to a co ..read more

The Dallas Cowboys had the most disappointing offseason in the entire league.
They were the only team in the NFC East Division that didn’t get better.
If anything, they may have even gotten worse.
That’s why NFL analyst Craig Carton predicted that they would finish dead last in their division next season.
“The Cowboys are going to come in dead last in the NFC East,” Carton said.

The Dallas Cowboys have been under heavy fire this offseason.
Despite vowing to go ‘all-in,’ Jerry Jones let some of his best players go, didn’t get a top-of-the-line or even starting-caliber running back in free agency or the NFL Draft, and didn’t sign Dak Prescott to a contract extension.
Even so, and despite the league-wide criticism and mockery, sports analyst Colin Cowherd actually liked what they did in the NFL Draft.
Talking to John Middlekauff, he called the Cowboys’ approach ‘strategic’ (Via The Volume).
