We are expecting the long anticipated Tamiya "Fighter Buggy RX Memorial" limited edition kits to arrive at the end of this week. We only have very limited numbers coming in, so if you would like to reserve one please message, call or email to arrange. These are sure to become a future collector model, and no doubt prices will start to skyrocket as soon as availability goes down. Based on the DT-01 chassis just like the original. It features oil shocks as standard and the blingiest of gold wheels. One of the nicest looking models to come out in a while. www.racecraftrc.co.uk Unit 19 Brassmills ..read more

We have the great news from Tamiya that the "Egress" is once again being re released. Calls to bring this iconic model back have grown and grown over recent times, and Tamiya have clearly listened. We heard the first rumours of it's return a couple of weeks back, but have now had confirmation that it will be available from the end of May 2021. We already have our order in, and can't wait for them to arrive. Sure to be very popular for collecters and racers at Revival this summer. With the cancelling of the "Nuremburg Toy Fair" this year, Tamiya are announcing the 2021 range online on Monday ..read more

OLD DOG- OLD SKILLS

Something a little different than the normal blog posts today. As some of you will know, I tend to run old school brushed motors whenever I can. I have had a few comments from club members and at events of late that the art of using and understanding the old modified brushed motors is being lost. A lot of racers have only ever used plug and play brushless systems, so although they would like to have a play with a traditional set up, they don't know where to start. This is the first of what may become a series of articles on using the old gear. It came about as I was in the workshop rebguilding ..read more

The 2021 race season has been like no other it has been fair to say. We actually attended more events than normal with the trackside shop, but over a shorter time span due to the pandemic restrictions. We have travelled approximately 2100 miles this year to and from these events, not including journeys back to hotels, the pub, curry house etc! It has needless to say been an exhausting year, but great fun at every event. The highlight has to be getting Icon of the day with the Avante and 2nd in the oldies stock class at Revival 1 with my beloved SRB. As some of you will know I don't tend to r ..read more

Online orders for delivery are unaffected and we will be back open as normal on Monday 12th June. Hopefully we may see a few of you at the event. So for new items, the big news has to be the announcement of Tamiya's new TD4 Avante ..read more

Revival 2021 is in the books and done. A full on weekend of hard work in the shop and fun on the track. We have to say a heartfelt thanks to John Weston and the team at BMR for having us. The weather made life a challenge at times, with downpours on Friday and odd showers the rest of the weekend. This meant grip and tyre choice changed constantly, meaning the shop was flat out with tyres sales. We also have to say a huge thanks to Steve Bains of AutoTecnic Altrincham for supplying the £250 golden ticket vouchers for each day of the event. The lucky winners are pictured below (to prove to thei ..read more

With Xmas now just a matter of a couple of weeks away, we thought we better announce our Xmas opening / closing times. This year is a bit of a weird one with the main event being on a weekend, which means extra bank holidays to make long weekends. Now we have had a very long year, with few days off and some brutally long days at events around the country as well, so we are going to make the most of the Xmas break and have a few days off and do a few short days as well. We are open as normal upto December 23rd (with the exception of this coming Saturday 11th Dec when we will shut at 3.30pm to ..read more

The big day of the year is coming up quickly and will be here before you know it, so a quick review of what is happening in our world and a few idea's for Xmas. There has been lots going on at RaceCraft lately. The CWICs series in Chippenham started at very very short notice, but we managed to get out act together and the trackside shop was there for the third year running keeping the racers going through the day. It was an absolutly exhausting effort with just 9 days notice, but we made it! The next round is on the 12th December and hopefully we will see some of you there. Booking in is avai ..read more
