ELLAVILLE (WRBL) - The Schley County Wildcat Baseball team has had a terrific season, 10-0 in their region. The Wildcats are now pursuing a chance at a state title. Schley is facing off against Lanier County in the Elite Eight. Schley County was able to take the win over Lanier in game one, 6-3. However, Fairhope would surprisingly come back from a six-run deficit and force a game three. The Tigers did not waste any time getting on the board in the deciding matchup. FORT MOORE, Ga. (WRBL) — Competitors from across the U.S. Army and its allies arrived at Fort Moore nearly two weeks ago for the preliminary stages of Armor Week. This week, the Sullivan Cup officially began. By Friday, May 3, it was all over. In an awards ceremony held an hour after the final event of the Sullivan Cup, awards went out to the best Bradley- and best M1 Abrams tank crews. This year, U.S. teams took home both wins. FORT MOORE, Ga. (WRBL) — The final event of the Sullivan Cup was non-stop motion. Competing teams started “Thunder Run,” a final race to the end, with a two-mile run followed by multiple challenges set across York Field outside Fort Moore’s McGinnis-Wickham Hall. CPD says Rylen Taveras was last seen near Apex Road and Meritas Drive. MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Law enforcement and families gathered at the Alabama State Capitol on Friday to honor three fallen police officers. A memorial service was held to remember the lives of Huntsville police officer Garrett Crumby, Mobile Port Authority officer Kimberly Sickafoose and Montgomery police officer Carlos Taylor.
