ELLAVILLE (WRBL) - The Schley County Wildcat Baseball team has had a terrific season, 10-0 in their region. The Wildcats are now pursuing a chance at a state title. Schley is facing off against Lanier County in the Elite Eight. Schley County was able to take the win over Lanier in game one, 6-3. The original plan was for the series to have a doubleheader on Saturday, with a game three if needed. However, due to weather, game two will have to be played Monday at 2pm EST. AUBURN (WRBL) - The Auburn High Baseball team most likely thought they had the series against Fairhope won in game two against the Pirates. However, Fairhope would surprisingly come back from a six-run deficit and force a game three. The Tigers did not waste any time getting on the board in the deciding matchup. Michael Daniel would hit a two-run, opposite field, homerun to give the Tigers a two-run lead in the first inning. FORT MOORE, Ga. (WRBL) — Competitors from across the U.S. Army and its allies arrived at Fort Moore nearly two weeks ago for the preliminary stages of Armor Week. This week, the Sullivan Cup officially began. By Friday, May 3, it was all over. In an awards ceremony held an hour after the final event of the Sullivan Cup, awards went out to the best Bradley- and best M1 Abrams tank crews. This year, U.S. teams took home both wins. FORT MOORE, Ga. (WRBL) — The final event of the Sullivan Cup was non-stop motion. Competing teams started “Thunder Run,” a final race to the end, with a two-mile run followed by multiple challenges set across York Field outside Fort Moore’s McGinnis-Wickham Hall. MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Law enforcement and families gathered at the Alabama State Capitol on Friday to honor three fallen police officers. A memorial service was held to remember the lives of Huntsville police officer Garrett Crumby, Mobile Port Authority officer Kimberly Sickafoose and Montgomery police officer Carlos Taylor.
