Chris Stafford, one of the founding members of the Feufollet band, was killed in an auto accident on Pinhook Road Thursday morning. Stafford, 36, was a four-time Grammy-nominated artist, playing with several different groups throughout Acadiana. He was a well-known musician and highly respected, with many local musicians sharing messages of his passing. The Semi-Annual Antique Fair and Yard Sale, held twice a year in St. Landry Parish, is underway today at the Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall in Washington. From 9 am to 5 pm Friday-Sunday, patrons can shop through hundreds of vendors selling decor, plants, furniture, antiques, and much more. The event is put on by the St Landry Parish Tourism Division. The West Willow Street Bridge in Scott will close Monday, April 15th for repairs. Officials estimate the bridge will be closed for 60 to 90 days, depending on weather conditions.
