I’ve been travelling to India for many years. I go to Herakhan Babaji’s Ashram in a beautiful part of Northern India. This is where I go to spiritually replenish and renew my soul. In my experience it’s the most high vibe place I’ve ever been. I recently found out that Steve Jobs spent time there way back in the 80’s. I will be returning there in March 2020 and invite you to join me if it calls you.
During this time we celebrate Navaratri, which is the 9 night Divine Mother ceremony. Can you imagine? 9 nights, 8 days of honouring and celebrating the Divine feminine energy in all her gui ..read more

Valentine’s Day is the day to devote to your special love relationship and your significant other. Hopefully a beautiful day but it can also be fraught with problems. Why? Because we humans have expectations and desires and egos! It can be a beautiful heart opening day for some, but a painful day for others who either didn’t feel loved by another or have someone to share their love with!
But what if we devote ourselves to LOVE beyond our human relationships today? The big LOVE that surpasses everything and everyone. The love that encompasses all and is beyond our human capacity to ..read more

Beautiful Woman!
I have to ask you some questions.
How do you nourish your precious feminine essence?
Do you make time to nurture your inner self?
Do you know what it means to balance your Yin energy?
I’m here to remind you of the importance of attending to these questions and share with you the reasons why it’s vital that you do.
So what is feminine essence? Feminine essence is the yin component of Life force energy. Life force energy or Qi, is the energy that creates everything. It’s in everything, Inanimate objects to all living things. It means that everything has life. Even the walls of ..read more

Lao Gong, also known as the “Palace of Toil” is the eighth point of the heart master channel. It is stimulated to ease anxiety and clear inflammation.
Where do you find it? It’s located where the tip of your middle finger touches your palm when you make a fist. This is a key point for healing work and is stimulated to ease anxiety and clear inflammation.
We use this point in Wu Tao during the Fire dance! It’s the dance that helps to free up energy in the Heart and Pericardium meridians. Rather than hold the point as traditionally used, We use a ‘brushing’ motion along the meridian ..read more

“The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive. ”
— Thich Nhat Hanh
In Chinese Medicine, the space between seasons is known as an Earth phase. It’s a time of stillness to process and integrate the previous season before we move into the next. Time to regroup, retreat for a day or two even, and become still.
Because it’s an Earth phase it’s also a good time to nourish one’s body with Earth harmonising foods. Warm, grounding and sweet are healing and balancing. It’s a wonderful thing to create recipes that nourish and heal. Food m ..read more

As I started my application today for a step up job at work, (a challenge I might add!), I felt the urge to just write. Write about my passion for nursing people who are facing one of the most challenging transitions of their lives. It’s a passion. A passion to provide a person with compassionate, present and gentle care right to the very end. A passion to respect the journey of Life in its fullness all the way. Nursing care provides an opportunity to be present to another person’s most intimate life experience.
Similar to birthing, dying and all the moments that lead us to it are profound opp ..read more

Bali – Land of the Gods
A second home to me with it’s lush green forests
And spirits circling everywhere
From the first smells as one exits the airport
Incense, sandalwood I think
Musty humidity and floral notes
Then the smiles of the locals clambering
holding signs for hotels and transport
Big smiles, toothy grins and warmth.
I take my time, to decide which way to travel and with whom
Unless it’s already been arranged in which case
It’s an easy walk to a car, water and the cool air conditioned ride
Through the streets of Denpasar
And finally the long road towards the E ..read more

A few months ago I got a craving for pickles and decided to try Kimchee. No! I was not pregnant! I just really love spicy pickles and I had heard that Kimchee is a healthy way to consume pickles as it’s fermented. I did my research and low and behold, there is a lot of credible information and research on the benefits of eating Kimchee.
According to a study done by Eun Kyoung et al. (2011), http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21745625 Kimchee, especially fermented kimchee had beneficial effects in the test patients who were all overweight or obese.
The results of the study showed both fre ..read more

Covid-19! Who would have thought? It’s risen up unexpectedly and is challenging every single person on the planet to find new ways to live, think and act. It’s exhausting work. The mental and emotional anguish, the overthinking, frustration, worry, sadness and fear that we are experiencing together can overwhelm our sensitive systems at times. It’s certainly not easy to maintain balance when life appears to have been tipped upside down! As I’m sure you’re aware, stress can have a significant impact on our immune system, so it’s very important to be doing lots of self care to build resilience ..read more
