Hi my name is Korri, I’m 10 years old and I attend James McCorkindale school of dance in Campbeltown Argyll. I’ve been a member of the dance school since I was 5 and I’m now a premier dancer! I’ve been to so many competitions since I started dancing but my favourite has to be Cowal Highland Gathering. I was super excited to win the 7 years beginners and 8 years novice sections! Sadly I couldn’t dance in the intermediate section because of covid but I am hoping to return this year and dance in premier. In 2019 age 8 I attended the USIR in Las Vegas and I won the highland trophy in my category ..read more

Hello, I’m Catriona. I’ve been dancing with the Margaret Rose School of Dance since I was 3. I am very lucky to have had many opportunities to travel the world with my dance school to compete in countries such as Canada, Australia and USA. One of my proudest dancing achievements was winning the 16 years Scottish National Championship at Cowal, 2019. A memorable moment was dancing at the BATD dinner dance after winning the BATD Senior Jessie Stewart-Haggarty MBE Scholarship in 2018. This was a great honour and a moment I will never forget. Most recently I have enjoyed competing at the Dance Wor ..read more

Hello Highland Dance World ! What a special post today ! I’m over the moon to be the first French Ambassador of the Highland Dancer. I couldn’t be prouder ! Since highland dance is not very famous in France, I’m really happy to promote it. Last November I had my first competition in the Mainland, in Belgium. What a nice experience ! So different from competing in Scotland. Most of the highland dancers where from all over Europe. I also had so much homework I had to work between dances ! It was my last competition as a beginner and I am thrilled to now be a novice so I can learn new steps an ..read more
