Now, when we say fishing equipment, we do not mean the fishing industry in general. That is a whole other kettle of fish! We are talking about discarded or broken fishing lines that are left on the beach from beach fishing.  For those of you who don’t know much about fishing lines, the most popular line is made of monofilament, which is a strong and flexible plastic. Caz Tomisson Dedicated volunteer and secret super hero. Clean Beach Initiative volunteers find a lot of straws on the beach in Barcelona, especially during the sunnier months. They are easy to see due to their glow-stick-like neon colour. We are veeeery aware that straws are a villain, but which one would this evil plastic perpetrator be? It would be Marvel Comics‘ very own Thanos, and here is why!
