Just under two months since Hurricane Idalia affected Sunset Beach, a rapid restoration effort has revived the coastline. This local favorite is back open! Workers brought in around 200 truckloads of sand daily. This restoration, part of a bigger plan to stabilize the shoreline, included planting different vegetation types, mainly sea oats, to reinforce the newly formed dunes.
