This blog had a good run but I think it is time to put an end to it. The TL; DR reasons are: I just don’t have the itch to write at this moment. Plus I started to loath using WordPress and all the ways they are developing the software. During February I felt like I was being stretched out as there was a mix of real life stuff I had to help with and stuff I wanted/had to do. Before I knew it the month was over and I barely did any of the gazillion things I wanted to do. Another side effect of it is because of all the stress I kinda ended up looking for refuge in video-games which turned out to be another reason for me not doing any of those other things I wanted to do. It seems like the Variety Gamer Score is doing the rounds in certain circles of the internet again. If you haven’t heard about it before it is basically a list of 100 arbitrary game franchises that are a mix of PC and console games. You are supposed to mark the ones you’ve played, count them up and you will have your “variety” gamer score. I believe I saw it first back in 2022 while it was circulating on Twitter. The month of January was just chaotic for me. Everything I wanted to do turned out to take far more time or be more complex than I was expecting. Or both. To top it off there were also a few events in real life that just made me stressed. The end result was that not only I played less than I wanted to but certain things I wanted to complete this month remain incomplete. If you hang around in one of the Mastodon instances you probably have heard some talk about a sort of challenge that goes like “Do X in 2023”. So far I have only heard of two of those challenges. The first one was the Dungeon23. It is basically a challenge for TTRPG enthusiasts to create one room for a dungeon every day until at the end of the week they have an entire level. This years has been so weird. I could swear it felt like it just begun not long ago and now here we are in December already! November pretty much encapsulated that feeling for me. With the grip that Minecraft had on my mind being forcefully removed, my intention was to spend the rest of the month finishing some games that have been on my to do list forever. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. The only game I managed to finish was Y’s Origin, with the Hugo route. That leaves only the third route left to play to be completely done with the game (unless I get insane and try to go for some achievements). Sorry for the late post. To be honest I haven’t been in the best mental state lately. Plus I decided that instead of writing I wanted to play Minecraft instead. As I mentioned in my last post my previous save was gone due to a small human error. In that post I said there were only a few buildings left to place before I got back to the point I stopped. Well, figuring out where to put those huts were more of a pain than I expected. Even then I am still not sure they were placed in a good way. Time will tell!
