In this video we look at Stock Measuring.
We look at what measurements are taking, where from and how we take them.
The main measurements are:
Length of Pull – Centre / Heel / Toe
Drop – Nose / Monte Carlo / Heel
Cast – Nose / Heel / Toe
Pitch – Heel / Toe
We demonstrate how we accurately measure the stocks using our stock measuring jig and talk through how it works and how the reading are taken.

We explore the differences between the Krieghoff K-80 Parcours and the Parcours-X Barrels. There are some subtle differences between the two options, with the main being the rib width and the weight of the barrels.
With the weight of the Parcours being approximately 1,365g and the Parcours-X being 1,515g, they have a heavier feel. In comparison, the floating barrels on a K-80 Super Sport weigh 1,600g, which means the Parcours-X Barrels are a perfect bridge between the two very popular options.
This additional weight is beneficial for clay targets as opposed to game shooting as the additional w ..read more

Are your barrels proofed for steel shot?
We take a look at How to Check and what the Steel Shot Proof Mark actually means in this video. If your barrels are in fact Steel Shot Proofed, this means you can shoot the Superior Steel Shot Loads, such as High Velocity and Big Game cartridges. Manufacturers will usually state whether barrels need to be Superior Steel Shot Proofed to be safe to use them.
Standard Steel Shot Loads are fine to use with barrels proofed for Lead Shot, which is where the confusion is when it comes to Steel Shot. We cover the possible risks of using Steel Shot with choke si ..read more

It’s important to apply grease where two surfaces contact and especially where they see movement. This helps the gun move with ease and prevents damage to areas which see wear.
It is equally important to clean off old grease and reapply fresh grease for each use of the gun. This is good practice as when applying new grease on top of old grease, it can build up to create a dirty, gritty paste. This actually acts in the opposite way to lubricating and can cause damage after time.
There are a number of areas listed below to apply grease to:

It’s important to use the correct tools with your Krieghoff K-80. Using the wrong sizes can damage the screws for future use.
In this video we cover all of the adjustment screws and what wrench or tools they use.
Starting at the front of the gun, working backwards to the stock and everything in between. There are some adjustments inside the Krieghoff K-80 mechanism which we do not suggest touching as these can cause problems with the gun and can even be a safety issue.
Correct tool and size in order in the video:

We get asked how to do this very often, so here is a short video showing you how to take the ejectors out and put them back in. Taking your barrels, give the ejectors a firm tap to free them away from the spring and ball pressure.
We use the handle of the Krieghoff Stock Wrench to do this as it’s something most people will have handy, and we use it again a bit later on. It’s a good idea to flip the barrels over so the ball isn’t sprung across the room or into the grass and lost. Set this to one side. The small spring can be removed with a bent over paper clip.
In the workshop we tend to use a ..read more

With just a plastic hammer, a set of 1.4mm & 0.9mm pin punches and a wooden drift, I show you in steps, how to remove the front hanger and then put it back on. The front hanger is available in various sizes, in increments of 0.5mm. Plus a choice of materials such as Steel, Titanium, Gold Titanium and Black Titanium.
