The SAT will soon be offered exclusively in a computer-based format. While this change has already been implemented internationally, US testers will be spared the change until 2024. Once the test goes digital, there’s no going back. Here’s our perspective.

The DOE has finally announced the SHSAT test date for rising 8th graders! Read on for the latest.
This is break news and will be updated as new information is received. Last updated 9/29/22 11:42 a.m.
What We Know
Test date confirmed for Thursday, November 17, 2022.
We expect that this date will be for registered 8th grade students who attend a public DOE middle school will test at their current school during the school day.
Additional dates confirmed for November 19 and November 20.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, headlines suggested that the global health crisis spelled the end of the role of standardized tests like the SAT in education. Indeed, many high profile institutions of higher learning moved to a test-optional model.
