At Wednesday night’s city council meeting, the council will hear a staff report on speed limits on several streets in the city. Traffic surveys were conducted on 12 sections of roadway in the city. The table below shows the existing speed limit, the 85% percentile of the actual speed of traffic, and the proposed speed limit. Generally, the speed limit is rounded down to the nearest 5 mph.
