by Allison Outlaw How did I go from struggling with a pathetic sled pull to clocking the fastest overall women’s pull at HYROX worlds? I am recalling one day in particular where I was on the verge of tears because I could barely move the sled in my gym. This was after I’d already won 1st AG worlds in the previous season. Check out the interview below to find out how she continued training while healing and what her marathon experience was like. What has training been like since the break? Once I discovered it was broken, I was confined to a med boot and ..read more

Calories in vs calories out is the most well known way of approaching weight management.  Consuming (in) more calories than you burn (out) typically results in weight gain.  While consuming fewer calories than you burn, referred to as a caloric deficit, typically results in weight loss.   But how do you make sure you’re gaining muscle not just fat?  Or, losing fat and not muscle?  This is where noting macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs) not just calories come in!  Not all calories are created equal (check out this article on macronutrients).
