After the main event of Wrestling Dontaku night one saw Nic Nemeth victorious over Hiroshi Tanahashi, a show of mutual respect for the two combatants was interrupted by David Finlay. The first IWGP Global Champion instigated a wild brawl with Nemeth, and after a pull-apart, a furious Nemeth insisted that he teach a lesson to the ‘coward’ Finlay.  Nemeth demanded that he defend the Global gold for a second time in 24 hours, and that match is now official.
