In a bid to reduce the amount of debris entering rivers and seas, the Nasinu Town Council today officially launched its ‘Trash Boom Pilot Project’. Conducted in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Bio Energy Trash Boom, the project aims to tackle the critical issue of waste pollution affecting our waterways and environment. The Water Authority of Fiji’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Amit Chanan and Chief Operating Officer, Seru Soderberg, visited Malake Island to inspect the completed submarine pipeline upgrade project.
