Mental health platform Headspace has announced it now offers mental health coaching for its direct-to-consumer subscriber base and will bring therapy services to consumers later in 2024. Researchers in the US have developed a new shoe insole technology that helps reduce the risk of diabetic foot ulcers, a dangerous open sore that can lead to hospitalisation and leg, foot or toe amputations. Bioengineers at Rice University have been awarded $1.4 million as part of a multi-centre consortium funded by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) to develop strategies for reversing the effects of osteoarthritis.
