In the 1962 novel Island, Aldous Huxley describes a utopian society living in harmony with the natural world and one another. The Psychedelic Society
by Martha Allitt

Court Wing experienced relief from persistent, long-term chronic pain with just one administration of psilocybin. Now, Court, alongside a team of experts, has developed a groundbreaking, free course on psychedelics and pain. This is his story. With a five-year bout of increasingly treatment-resistant depression, Court Wing jumped at the opportunity to participate in NYU’s Psilocybin for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) trial in 2021. His depression was instantly relieved after a single dose, which he likened to psilocybin “surgically removing” his symptoms. Astonishingly, Court’s long-standing ..read more

The Psychedelic Society
by Martha Allitt

DMT, short for N, N-dimethyltryptamine, is a short-acting, potent psychedelic. Also known as the "spirit molecule", DMT's reported powerful and transformative effects have sparked research interest in its use for psychedelic therapy. A research group at University College London (UCL) aims to understand how DMT's psychological benefits could relate to brain activity changes. The project is being undertaken by the UNITy (Understanding Neuroplasticity Induced by Tryptamines) research group, based at UCL's Department of Psychology and Language Science. The Psychedelic Society
by Martha Allitt

In a powerful demonstration of unity, I had the privilege to meet activists, politicians, and journalists at Parliament Square on the 27th of June to discuss UK drug policy reform. The event was the seventh mass lobby organised by Anyone's Child - a network of families with lives devastated by the harms of drug prohibition.  Thousands of lives lost to the drug war While preparing for the event, 4,517 forget-me-nots were laid on Westminster’s College Green, just across from the houses of Parliament. Each one of these flowers represented a life lost due to drug poisoning in 2020.  We w ..read more
