Seventeen Acres of hill country peppered with towers pecan trees, a small creek, beer donkeys, an 1800's original chimney. and a 6000 square foot climate controled (thank God!) building, is what make Pecan Springs Ranch one of the best indoor/outdoor wedding venues in the wedding belt of Texas. Nadya and Chris had a cowboy chic wedding in the dead of August, and I, a 27 week pregnant photographer was particularly thankful for that 6k squarefoot venue space. Pecan Springs pulled together the elegance yet rustic Texas vibe these Arizona residents wanted for their wedding. All Vendors links can ..read more

Madeleine and Joel got married on what was probably the last cool spring day of the year in 2023 (lucky them) out at Camino Real Ranch. Madeleine gets ready in Camino Reals bridal house with her party and family while Joel does the same in the groom suite. Joel and Madeleine honored their parents in a unique way. Madeleine chose to wear her mothers wedding jewelry (photographed in her mothers hands) and Joel wore his fathers suit he wore on his wedding day. Madeleine had a emotional first look with her party and father as her sister and mother watched from the other side of the room. One of ..read more

Camino Real Ranch came onto the Austin Wedding Vendor scene with a bang. I remember hearing about this place and after that it was like I was seeing it everywhere. If you're from Austin, maybe you've experienced the same feeling. If not, well, it's made it's place known for good reason and well deserved. With a touch of desert vibe, class, and good ol' Austin funk, it really is an incredibly versatile venue. Having shot a number of Camino Real wedding, each one is so different from the last. It's a place that picks up the character of the people the fill its space; a blank canvas without being ..read more

Rust Manor House Wedding | Stephen & Rana

Life is full of surprises. Such is the case of Stephen and Rana's love story that begins in Florida, pauses in Texas, and ends in Virginia. Stephen and Rana went to the same collage in Florida and metaphorically brushed elbows with one another, running around overlapping friend groups and meeting one another's acquaintances. Stephen made the move to Texas where he landed a job at an in-home nursing company as an operations personnel. It was a difficult job with long hours and putting out fires with corporate's eye always watching you. I know only because, I worked for that same company in the ..read more

As Texas begun to open back up, Chris and Grace were excited for an in person meeting to plan their elopement. At an outdoor bar, over cocktails, and spicy boneless wings we connected and I got to hear their story and see the color of their individual personalities. We discussed their vision & the must haves during their elopement. At the time of our meeting Chris and Grace hadn't told their families their plans for the same reason a lot of eloping couples don't. I've witness many cancelled elopements in exchange for a traditional wedding once they tell their families and it only saddens m ..read more

It was March and a very busy wedding season was looking over me like a heavy rain cloud ready to drench me in extroverted energy, long days on my feet, and editing photos in our vampire cave (aka our home office). Don't get it twisted, I love what I do and it's the only way this staunch introvert can willingly harnest every drop of extroversion out of my soul. However, the cost is a decrease in creativity. In a career where creativity is the heartbeat I have to give myself a jumpstart every now and again. A time to graciously practice new editing techniques, use new equipment, or different met ..read more

Congratulations! I assume you've clicked on this blog because you're early in your engagement journey. If so, I would like to start by saying congratulations on this exciting time. There are so many great things you will encounter throughout the planning phase. The engagement session is just one of them! Just like the wedding, every decision you make from decor to who attends, it all should echo your character and story.
