Lately, I've been thinking a lot about what success really means, and who gets to define it.
We live in a world that throws confetti for engagements, weddings, and baby showers (as it should!). But where's the glitter cannon for the woman who just launched her business from the kitchen table? Or the one who walked away from a toxic workplace and chose herself instead?
As female founders, trailblazers, and change-makers, our paths don't always look like the ones our families or society imagined for us. We're not following the traditional scr ..read more

I used to think "discipline" meant waking up at 5 am, choking down a green smoothie that tasted like pond water (have you tried spirulina? It's like swamp juice had a baby with regret), and responding to emails in military fashion before 9 am because apparently, that's how you prove you're the most committed human on the planet.
It did not go well.
I fell at the first, second, and third hurdle. Hard. There may have been tears, and there was definitely a kitchen bin full of green pond powder.
After multiple failed attempts, I realised som ..read more

Last week, in the world of football, my hometown won a cup final for the first time in 70 YEARS and let me tell you, Newcastle United fans lost. their. minds.
Watching from the comfort of my sofa (under my electric blanket, obvs) as the final whistle blew, the cameras panned to the roaring crowd, then to the fan zones bursting with elation. Thousands upon thousands of people losing themselves in sheer, unfiltered joy.
Arms in the air. Singing. Cheering. Laughter and ugly-cry tears all at once.
As I took it all in, a thought hit me ..read more

When it comes to starting a podcast, one of the first questions I get is this: "How do I monetize my podcast?" It's a valid question, after all, creating quality content takes time, effort, and sometimes money. But let me start by being completely transparent: monetization wasn't even on my radar when I launched my podcast. My sole focus was creating a platform to elevate and amplify the voices of women. It was a passion project straight from the heart, and that was enough for me.
However, as my podcast grew, so did my vision. Naturally, I started to explore ways to monetize my ..read more

Feeling empowered about your finances is not only acceptable—it's essential. For many women, financial independence is a path to greater freedom and self-confidence. It's time to embrace the power you hold over your money.
Understanding Financial Empowerment
Financial empowerment starts with recognising your ability to control your finances. It's about making informed decisions without needing validation from others. Whether managing your budget, saving for the future, or investing in your dreams, the first step is acknowledging that you have the right and the ..read more

Here are a few gentle reminders for you because it's easy to forget:
You are not broken.
Even if you feel that way or were told that you are. You went through some sh*t, developed some maladaptive coping patterns, and that's ok. You can slowly develop new ones.
You are not alone.
We all do VERY SIMILAR SH*T! At the end of the day, our brains are constantly striving for their version of safety. You're not weird or unique in a bad way. It's just that few people are telling the truth, so we all feel like hot messes and beat ourselves up.
All you ever need to ch ..read more

Let me share a truth I've discovered while advising Fortune 100 executives across six continents: In this era of constant noise and deepening divides, your quiet strength isn't just valuable – it's revolutionary. As an introverted woman of color who navigated from challenging beginnings to becoming a global voice for quiet leadership, I've witnessed firsthand how our perceived "limitations" are actually our greatest strengths.

Let's face it: Manifestation has become the avocado toast of the self-help world (and I'm the Manifesting Expert saying this - lol).
Everyone's talking about it, Instagramming it, and hashtagging their way to #DreamLife. If you've been staring at your vision board until your eyeballs hurt and your dream car hasn't materialised in your driveway, you're probably wondering: Is manifestation just cosmic daydreaming or the spiritual version of a new fitness hype?
Spoiler alert: It's not—but there's more to it than meets the third eye

When was the last time you really connected with the people who follow you or subscribe to your emails?
Your audience isn't just a collection of email addresses or social media profiles. They're your people. They show up, read your stuff, and maybe even share it—if they love you enough.
An engaged audience is worth its weight in gold (or dollars, euros, rubles, yen…); it's an audience that wants to be there, and you should be courting your marvellous community, your wavelength warriors, with every tool at your disposal.
How? Well, read on.

I'm setting off from Newcastle upon Tyne to drive to Aviemore, a bustling ski town tucked away at the base of the Cairngorm mountains in the Scottish Highlands, and it's starting to snow.
We're from Northumberland and used to a bit of snow. I'm sure a light dusting will make it #magical in photos. But an hour or so into the four-hour drive, my aunt calls to say that "they're starting to close the snow gates and it's really getting quite deep…" How bad can it get we laugh, while I secretly wonder if we have enough snacks left in the car to last being stranded on a mountain road ..read more
