People often ask us which packraft to choose. If you love: Fishing - you may be interested in a Ponto. They are super lightweight (2.9 kg or 6.3 lbs) and one of our smallest packrafts, so they are easy to take to your secret fishing hole but big enough for your gear and all your fish - even the big ones. You can also attach a fishing pole holder accessory or two! Hiking or Cycling - You will love the Microraft as it is also very lightweight (around 3.5 kg or 7.7 lbs), and it rolls up very compactly and fits easily into a 35-litre backpack. It comes with a spray deck so that you will stay war ..read more

Luc, you are a bit of a legend in the packrafting community! Can you tell us what motivated you to write your book? The Packraft Handbook started as a short safety manual. I had been teaching swiftwater safety courses for the Swiftwater Safety Institute for a few years and wanted to figure out how to get safety techniques out to more people. I was only reaching 30-40 people a summer with the in-person courses. But after writing the safety and rescue content, I realized that it would be even more valuable to write about how not to need rescue! (Duh!) So, I added chapters about equipment ..read more

We always love to hear about the adventures our customers have with their pacrrafts. It is our pleasure to share Colin's epic fishing and backcountry adventure with you today. Enjoy!    The Expedition I’d been thinking of this fishing trip for a long time. It combined two things that really got me interested: trophy brook trout and a remoteness that would keep the average Joe away. It was a good 25 km hike in through prime grizzly country and would require staying over on the way in and at the lake in order to make the trip doable and worthwhile. I rolled this trip around in my head ..read more
