BEAVER, WV (WOAY)—Governor Justice presented $3.5 million to the New River Community and Technical College. $500,000 of it will expand Tourism and Hospitality programs. The other 3 million will renovate a hanger at the airport for aviation programs, especially the development of an aviation mechanic program. “This funding for aviation maintenance is life-changing either way. Dog eyelid wipes recalled due to bacteria risk

West Virginia (WOAY)—Over 30,000 containers of dog eyelid wipes have been recalled due to the risk of harmful bacteria.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says infection-causing bacteria can grow inside a container after opening it.  The recall includes 45-count ‘Project Watson eyelid wipes’ by Bausch and Lomb.  The eyelid wipes were sold at stores nationwide, including PetSmart and Walmart.  Consumers also purchased them online at Chewy and Amazon.  The CPSC said you should immediately stop using them and throw them out.  But first, be sure to take a ..read more

West Virginia (CNN)—Check your refrigerator or freezer to see if you recently bought ground beef at Walmart.  Over 16,000 pounds of Walmart ground beef has been recalled because it could be contaminated with e-coli.  The meat was shipped to Walmart stores across the country.  The recall affects several products, including ground beef patties and trays, ground chuck, and ground sirloin.  The US Department of Agriculture said you should throw the meat away or return it to the store where you purchased it.  So far, there have been no reports of illness. OAK HILL, WV (WOAY)— Oak Hill High School is putting on the horror comedy rock musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors’. The musical is loosely based on the 1960 film ‘The Little Shop of Horrors’. It was also made into a different film in 1986 with the same name. This musical stars Audrey and Seymour as well as a plant who just wants to be fed.
