There is jazz out there as we head into the real winter. I'm writing this before taking off to head out to Kansas to see family, so go out and hear some among yourselves.... After the fold you will find the listings for live jazz gigs in and around Rochester for the next seven days and then some. You'll also find listings throughout January, February and into March. There is also a space for some special gigs that are even further out in 2023. Let me know when you hear about things....

After the fold you will find the listings for live jazz gigs in and around Rochester for the next seven days (it's a little light this week), plus through December and into January. I've also added a space for some special gigs that are even further out in 2023. As you may be aware, the Rochester International Jazz Festival has announced its first two headliners for the 2023 Festival and one is even jazz: Pat Metheny's Side Eye and Bonnie Raitt! If you know of any New Years Eve events featuring live jazz, let me know.

After the fold you will find the listings for live jazz gigs in and around Rochester for the next seven days, plus through December and what I've been told about in January. I've also added a space for some special gigs even further out. I created the Cubist-inspired jazz trio image I've added today in trying out OpenAI's DALL-e Image Generator, which uses a text prompt funneled through artificial intelligence to generate an image.

After the fold you will find the listings for live jazz gigs in and around Rochester for the next seven days, plus through December and what I've been told about in January. I've also added a space for some special gigs even further out. Congratulations to Tom Kohn, Jann Nyffeler and the team at The Bop Shop for completing 40 concerts to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of this Rochester music institution. The 40th was last night and I was there to hear the fantastic Michael Musillami Trio (pictured here)!
