We are extremely excited to announce a multi-year partnership for three upcoming WATC events. Next year will see WATC head, once again, to Appleton, Wisconsin on April 3-6, 2025. (We will release hotel blocks/rates closer to the event so keep an eye out for those discounts!) The Fox Cities will host additional championships in 2027 and 2029 as well. The 7th World Axe Throwing Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma is officially wrapped! Congratulations to everyone who was there to make it as special as it was, especially the winners. Advanced vs. Amateur – Division Declarations

All throwers will have until April 5th to declare as Advanced or Amateur via their App profiles. Once Season 2 begins on April 6th, NO DIVISION CHANGES CAN BE MADE. The designation must be made before the season starts, NOT before the first game that you play of the season! Division Changes With 2024 bringing the new divisions and ruleset, we wanted to give all throwers the opportunity to test out which division would work best for them. Pro League status is awarded to the top 128 throwers (by Season Rating) on the Advanced leaderboard each season. To earn a bid to the World Axe Throwing Championship (WATC), throwers must achieve Pro League status twice in the same competition year. Leagues earning Pro status do not need to be consecutive to earn a bid. For more information on qualifying for WATC, see our Qualifying page below.
