More Power to You winner—Charging on after health challenges.   Chantel Hyde hadn’t ridden a bike since she was 15, and, due to medical issues, she wasn’t sure she’d ever ride one again.   You see, at age 12, she dislocated both knees. That led to a slew of progressive injuries, ultimately resulting in a recent full reconstructive surgery of both knees. Months of physical therapy has followed to help rebuild Chantel's muscles in her legs, and doctors recommended cycling to help with the process.   When her husband saw the Charge More Power to You contest earlier this year, he th ..read more

Shasta Averyhardt spends a lot of hitting the links. But when the professional golfer wants to relax and unwind, she hits the road on her Charge e-bike. “My favorite place to ride is this lake that’s around the corner from my place,” she says. “It’s very peaceful, relaxed and serene. I really need that decompression. Emily and Scott first rented e-bikes while on vacation in San Diego. As they rode on the sand along the beach, the couple knew they wanted e-bikes of their own one day. Another trip to California confirmed it when they rented e-bikes in Ojai and rode nearly 50 miles round trip to Ventura and back. “We never would have done that on regular bikes because we’re not that into biking, and it would have been an all-day trip,” Emily says. “But with the e-bikes, we were able to ride there, walk around, have lunch, ride back and we still had time to go out to dinner that night.”       ..read more
