The more you type, the more your keyboard wears out. Over the last 10 years we saw thousands of keyboards with damaged surface, coming off paint and faded letters. Even the newest MacBooks, HPs, Dells (and other popular brands) were not saved from experiencing ‘shiny keys syndrome’. In the first installment of "Behind the Scenes" series I will show you what automations we - at Keyshorts.com - use in Adobe Illustrator to prepare our products for print. Currently (as of march 2016) we have more than one hundred stickers to prepare in a typical week. That's a serious reason to automate the production workflow.

If you are person who need to write in more than one language, or you live in foreign country, or you are simply a translator, you'll need multiple keyboard languages in your operating system. To use them, first you need to know how to add them, and then, how to change/switch them efficiently.

I can tell you from my experience that there’s no better way than to do this using keyboard shortcuts, also known as “hotkeys”. If you don’t use them already - start.
It will change how you work. With shortcuts you can save about 60 – 70% of time spent in Photoshop.

Low legibility of the letters is actually a very common problem that makes working on computer pretty uncomfortable. It may start after long time when the symbols get worn-off that much that you can't read them or when the surface gets partially glossy.
