On the 29th January 2024, we celebrated our second birthday at the Dementia Hwb, in the Quadrant Shopping Center, Swansea.    To celebrate our birthday, here is a few of the things we have been up to in the last year…   Memory Assessments offered at the Hwb  In May we began memory assessments with the SBUHB Community Memory Support Team. These are bookable appointments with a member of the team who can go through memory assessments with an individual who has concerns about their memory. Meet Benji! In December, we were lucky enough to be donated a PetBot cat by Carmarthenshire Therapy Dogs. Their team of volunteers provide dog therapy across Carmarthenshire and surrounding counties to provide pet therapy. Their aim is to improve quality of life, address social isolation, promote well-being and provide comfort to vulnerable community residents (particularly those living with dementia).
