The 2022 New Brunswick Provincials (Sep 16-18) was a successful tournament with 236 athletes in attendance. The large brackets filled with talented men’s and women’s teams meant it was no easy feat to make the podium. Poach players specifically had tremendous success over the tournament weekend as they claimed a majority of the 4.0+ level gold medals. We even saw eager up and comers representing Poach pull out some incredible wins resulting in turned heads. While members of Team Poach can be found coast-to-coast across North America, it was the BC players who were the focus last weekend. Pickleball BC held its first ever provincial tournament which saw over 600 players attend from around the province.  Spearheaded by Richard Chambers from the Vernon Pickleball Club, the 4-day tournament was a huge success. Sunny Buttar (Team Poach) from Oliver managed to take bronze in Men's 5.0 Singles on the Thursday.
