At 03:49:54 on Tuesday, April 9, Kanab Fire and EMS were dispatched to a report of a house fire in the north east section of Kanab just off of Highway 89. Fire personnel were on scene within four minutes of the page, and had water on the fire one minute after arrival on scene. Photos courtesy of Kanab City Fire Chief Brett Pierson. The fire was contained to the attic space and did not spread to any other part of the house, although due to the amount of water needed to put out the fire, the home did sustain significant water damage. Powell Drive Dip restricted to one lane until Friday

Major progress is being made on storm drainage methods out of the Catori Canyon subdivision, including paving and rock fills along the Powell Drive dip. As the water infrastructure in the area is being worked on and concrete is being laid on drainage and walking avenues, traffic will be restricted to a single lane, with temporary stoplights erected on either side of the Powell dip. Kanab staff and city council have been undergoing a regular review of the city’s impact fees and making plans for future impact fee use. According to Kanab City Manager Kyler Ludwig, this is according to Utah State Statute which calls for such a review and planning session every six years - resulting in the series of city council meetings this year that have devoted agenda time to impact fees. Kane County Events team releases newly formatted rules, routes and funding for all parades

In a series of releases, the Kane County Events Team have instituted a new set of rules and routes for the parades they coordinate.
