All gardeners are responsible for removing all trash and garden waste from the Blair Road Community Garden. The Board will try to provide for bulk pickup on community work days, but neither the National Park Service, nor DC Government are willing to collect bagged trash from the parking lot area. Your signed permit to use the garden space says that you agree to remove all of your trash with you every time you leave your plot. Even if you see a growing pile of trash, please do not add to it. Welcome to the Blair Road Community Garden 2023 Season! As you know, we hold several inspections during the growing season to ensure that we are all following the rules set out by the National Park Service, and our membership. All first-year gardeners are required to join the inspection teams, and all seasoned gardeners are welcome. WHY do we do inspections? Gardener safety is a big concern. It summarizes the Fall Membership Meeting, introduces new Board Members, and thanks retiring board members, none of whom are leaving the garden (yay!).
