Being part Welsh of course we celebrated St Davids day (Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus). We headed off to squad training and had another two great days at the Unicorn Centre. We had a chance to run through our new music which went well. Everyone was happy with Athene, and we felt ready to go to Addington our first competition of the year together. Damo is super relaxed at the minute hopefully that’s here to stay! The other day the muck heap was being emptied which is right by the arena and he was such a good boy he didn’t bat an eyelid. Bears rehab is going well, and he has started some trotting which h ..read more

Damo has really been improving in his confidence and dealing with tricky situations. I am excited to say that I rode him with tarpaulin, an umbrella, flags and so much more and he was such a good boy. The Royal Veterinary College my fantastic vets came out to vaccinate the horses this week, thank you to them for their continued support. Bear is doing well and has started his rehab (walking around the yard); we are all looking forward to getting him back into work. Bear can’t wait; he loves to please. I put my 55 recyclable Sorbeo bags into a black sack all labelled and took it to the post offi ..read more

Sorry it’s been a while since I have updated you all. I am going to try and make sure that every month I write a blog to keep you updated with everything that I have been doing including all of my World Class activity. I had a lovely Christmas and New Year spent with all my family; my sister and niece were over from America which was lovely. I hope you all did too. My big news and if you follow me on social media you will already know that I am very excited to say that as of the 1st January I have joined the World Class Programme at podium potential level. I cannot thank everyone that has help ..read more

This month started off with a trip to Hartpury for the CPEDI3* International; we took both horses. Both horses flew through the trot up and Athene was a superstar in her arena familiarisation; she felt amazing. Damo was very relaxed to start off with; but then we had a loose horse incident; we both survived but it really scared Damo. The warmup for the Team Test with Damo went well and he felt super relaxed. We entered the arena and halted, yes immobility! He felt good as we tracked left; a horse came in through the gate and he saw them; bad timing. He then tripped and spooked I think, I fell ..read more

April Blog What a way to start the month; meeting my sponsors from Jeremy Rudge Saddlery. It was fantastic to meet Amy in person and I am very excited to say that I am trying out a new saddle for them. The Free Motion Panel: it is self-levelling and adjusts with the horses back with every step; no wonder its incredible and the horses love it. Bear and Damo loved it from the first time it arrived on their backs. I have done a weekly diary; check out my Facebook page to find out exactly how me and the horses have got on in this amazing saddle. All the horses have been going well in training and ..read more

Apologies for my February and March blogs being so late here’s hoping that the April one will come out on time! February The boys have been going really well in training. Bear has come on leaps and bounds and we are starting to ride test movements at home. Damo is being really good and again we have been riding lots of test movements in preparation for our return to the white boards. My body has been really struggling recently; the fatigue has been high. So, I have spent less time in the gym and more time with the horses which I have really enjoyed. I have had another fantastic session with Fi ..read more

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. I spent mine in America with my sister and niece and we had a wonderful time. Whilst I was away I did my weights and sessions on the hand bike but on my return home it was great to get back in the swimming pool, on the rowing machine and then in the gym-my fantastic local gym Chiltern Lifestyles centre; supported through the wonderful Sporting Champions scheme. What a way to start the year smashing out 3 sets of 8 pull ups at my first session with Fiona at Performance Hertfordshire. I then had a good session with Tom at Body Balance; i ..read more

Sorry it’s late everyone; the time has flown, and I forgot I hadn’t yet written let alone posted the September blog! It’s been a busy month; read to the end to find out some very exciting news!! We headed off to Bury Farm as we needed more point to qualifying for the Winter Para Dressage Championships. It was a very early start, but Damo was a superstar, and we easily got the one point we needed and more. We went for a bigger walk, a few things to iron out before the Nationals but two plus 70% scores. Boat training has been going well; I’ve managed another 2k on the water, not the best time a ..read more

What a month it’s been; it has been great to watch the World Para Dressage Championships, cheering on team GBR and team Ireland. It was wonderful to see my friend Michael Murphy win two bronze medals; we grew up together and I am just so pleased for him and his team. I also enjoyed watching the Rowing Europeans and seeing the Para rowers smash it! On top of all the TV watching I have been busy on the horses and in the boat. After taking it easy for a bit due to my misbehaving lungs it’s been fantastic to be back in the gym again and back on the rowing machine. A pallet of Sorbeo Horse Bedding ..read more
