Begin at the Front Door-Add a Wreath
This year I grabbed a simple grapevine wreath and added faux pumpkins, natural elements from the yard, and some dried and faux greenery and created a pretty fall wreath with lots of texture for my front door. It is actually a gate to our courtyard. I like to change my wreath up ev ..read more

When decorating for any season I like to use elements that compliment the existing landscape and the homes exterior. Pumpkins, gourds, leaves, moss and twigs echo the natural surroundings and compliment the look of your home. The pathway to the front door garden beds on either side of our entry are sprinkled with fall color. The concrete sidewalk is stained to compliment the color of the house. Suble landscape lighting lights up the paths in the evening to welcome you inside. Let’s talk about some simple ways to amp up your home’s fall curb appeal for a simple fall makeover.

There is something magical about fall, the beautiful foliage, the advent of cooler temperatures, and spending time with family and friends. Did you know that the color orange is connected with joy and the color yellow is associated with positive feelings? I love decorating for fall. I favor more organic, natural decor in my own home. I am particularly smitten with the quirky, textural heirloom pumpkins. You can find them everywhere. Let’s take a look at Fifteen Natural Creative Ways to Decorate with Pumpkins.

Next week Mary Ann, Annie, and I are joining a great group of bloggers for a fall tablescape and favorite thanksgiving dish. Hi All. I have been on the hunt for a great fall/winter candle that can span the entire season. Scent is very personal. I lean toward a citrusy, fresh-smelling candle year-round, but would like an earthier, woodsy type that will last through the winter. I am not looking for something that smells like pumpkin or is overtly Christmas. I know it’s a challenge. Do you have a signature scent that you like, or do you need a little help in that department? Let’s take a look at My Favorite Fall Candles and How to find your signature scent.

Happy Thursday Everyone. Today I am joining Annie, and Mary Ann and a great group of home decor bloggers for our fall cozy home tour. Come join me for my Natural Collected Fall Home Tour.
There is no need to go out and purchase a bunch of decor that is holiday specific. Try and repurpose what you have. Try to look at your existing decor with a new eye. We have a lot of antique and vintage items. They can be easily repurposed and reused for a unique “new” look. I added a few new pillow covers, some sunflowers, refreshed an old wreath with new moss, and purchased pumpkins ..read more
