Pregnancy Safe Skincare

It's been a minute since we last spoke about anything pregnancy or motherhood. With other friends entering pregnancy for a first and second time, one thing I found annoying was the need for safe skincare. As someone who had worked really hard in maintaining a healthy complexion, I was so pleased when my friend Aimee became an advocate for the brand Hugh & Grace and shared about the non-toxic, hormone disrupter free and most importantly PREGNANCY SAFE products. Naturally I became an affiliate with the brand (if you want discounted products, send me a DM HERE), as I saw results in their w ..read more

That's it! First quarter of the year is complete. How do you feel? Personally I feel like I and everyone around me has found their groove and a focus for the next quarter. Short term goals were obtained despite some interruptions (i.e. surprise appendectomy) and new goals have a renewed focus. However, the choice to truly disconnect on days off plus add a couple (sometimes even a few) hours of me time a day have been essential from burning out. Somehow both my husband and I have managed to make the time to wonder the garden long enough to feel the decompression set in, to water color paint ..read more

Last Sunday after recuperating, processing and cleaning up the last bit of our son’s 1st birthday party (blogpost coming soon), we decided to get out of the house and enjoy one of our usual pastimes, the Redlands. There are several places we frequent however last fall a new spot opened up called Heritage Market. It’s precious! The space has an indoor restaurant, an outdoor pole barn with another spot to order food and a separate bar spot to place drinks ranging from brews, shakes, smoothies, homemade kombucha, teas and lemonade. For entertainment they have a large playground for children, cor ..read more

Hey friends, it's that time of year again, where we enjoy the last holiday of the year and also experience the most calm week. I absolutely love the last week of the year. It's slow, its cozy, there are zero pressures, whether you decided to stay local or go on a trip, and lots of reflection and low key planning happens. At least for us in our households. In the last few days (weeks) of the year, I find myself going over the goals, aka New Year Resolutions, one may have and noting it in my journal, planner and/or vision board. The whole point is to have an idea of what and where I'd like to im ..read more

A Gilded Cozy Christmas

The day after Thanksgiving is such a beautiful tradition with my husband and now son. We dedicate, like most, to trimming our tree, playing Christmas music, drinking holiday inspired cocktails and eating Thanksgiving leftovers. When it comes to decor in my home, I loved traditional tones. Probably because that's what our mother did and we followed suit. The one color that I have stand out the most is red, incorporating a Hygge vibe. Last year I started to pop in some brass gilded tones for a vintage take on Hygge and this year I was able to build on that with a few new finds. Below I'll share ..read more
