One of the words we used to describe Theresa and Pat’s wedding theme was “Hygge,” a Danish and Norwegian word that describes coziness and the feeling of well-being and contentment. Theresa and Pat’s wedding was exactly that: a celebration of two families coming together, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of Theresa and Pat’s love for each other and their families. Held at The Lodge at Snow Valley, we chose a soft color palette that included dusty blue and soft sage, with accents of gold and plenty of florals and greenery to create a romantic, yet cozy atmosphere. Their outdoor ceremony was ..read more

This wedding is also featured on Confetti Magazine! Gretel & Henry’s wedding was a fusion of family tradition and modern flair. Part of the couple’s wedding ceremony included the age-old Chinese Tea Ceremony that was celebrated in their home, honoring Henry’s family, including the very entertaining Chinese Door/Gate Crashing Games with their wedding party. Gretel & Henry’s design vision was for a modern, geometric, and clean design, and the Art Gallery of Alberta fit that bill perfectly. We chose a black, grey and white palette with accents of gold to provide the drama while keeping t ..read more

Nicole and Dalton’s wedding was a very special one – they were one of the first clients to book us for their wedding in early 2020, but their event was postponed multiple times due to events out of their control. Literally... their original ceremony venue burnt down. 2 years later, Nicole and Dalton were finally able to tie the knot, and we could not have been any more excited to see these two make it through a tough 2 years. We coordinated a First Look with the new Mr. & Mrs. Something about seeing our couples share that private, beautiful moment on their wedding day always brings out the ..read more

Samantha and Brandon’s wedding kicked off our 2022 wedding season on a high note with the spectacular views of the Viewing Gallery at the Galt Museum & Archives in Lethbridge, AB. Many guests traveled from all over western Canada to attend their celebration. The couple chose to have a minimalist design of white and grey, accented with greenery for a timeless look. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Lethbridge Coulees was a spectacle all on its own. The ceremony was officiated by Samantha’s colleague and friend, in front of their families and closest friends. At the reception, the ..read more

The weather in the summer of 2019 was, in one word, wet. Julienne and Michael’s wedding day, however, was no different. There was a gentle drizzle of rain in the morning as the couple prepared for their ceremony - Julienne, at her childhood home, and Michael, at the couples’ new home. Their wedding ceremony was held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where close to 120 family and friends gathered to witness the nuptials, followed by the traditional Filipino ceremony. As a personal touch, Julienne’s cousin, Raymond (a talented violinist), provided beautiful accompaniment with the church musici ..read more

Joy's debut took place on a brisk Saturday, October 30, just a day before she actually turned 18. The celebration was held at the River Cree Resort and Casino in the River Cree Ballroom. (Too bad she wasn't 18 yet because she couldn't try her luck at the casino!) Joy's birthday is on Halloween so she had this grand idea to have a masquerade for her debut... Let me tell you, we did not hold back in planning this masquerade ball, complete with Phantom of the Opera soundtracks and professionally choreographed dances! We DIY'ed almost everything in this event. The fans, the accessories, the flags ..read more

From the beginning, we knew Alexis was not going to be your “typical bride.” From her burgundy gown to the theme of her wedding, we knew that we had to work extra hard to make this day even just a fraction as special as Alexis and Stephan. When they first sat down with us and told us their vision we were FLOORED. A Great Gatsby/Art Deco/Maximalist inspired wedding?! Every designer’s dream! Every month during our date nights, the couple had the most intricate and amazing ideas that we just needed to bring to fruition. Every bit of their big day was a nod to the Roaring 20’s. Somehow, we manage ..read more

Although it was the beginning of summer, the uncertainty of COVID restrictions lifting made it difficult to decide if weddings in 2021 were still a possibility. As fate would have it, restrictions were lifted for July 2021, and Kiarra & Brent’s guests were so excited to celebrate the wedding of this beautiful couple! One of Kiarra & Brent’s wishes was to have a “first look” that allowed them to connect one last time before Brent would see Kiarra for the first time walking down the aisle. Their ceremony at the iconic St. Joseph’s Basilica included many personal touches by Kiarra & B ..read more

As per usual Alberta weather played tricks on Justine and Dominic leading up to their wedding day. Rain was forecasted for June 1st, 2013, but the weather turned out beautiful with clear blue skies. What made that day even more beautiful was the amount of love that was gathered for their ceremony held at the St. Thomas More Parish. https://youtu.be/6JlV-pXppNc Two families became one that day, combining two vibrant cultures and traditions. Justine, who is Filipina, wanted to honor her parents by getting married in a Roman Catholic Church with the traditional Filipino Cord and Veil Ceremony, th ..read more
