Manisha and Rob’s Indian wedding was an absolute highlight for me as a wedding photographer. I’ve known Manisha since elementary school, and I was beyond honored when she hired me to capture her wedding. It felt extra special to me. The fusion of Hindu and western elements made their wedding truly unique and special. It was a three-day celebration, filled with vibrant colors, elegance, and joy. The festivities began on Thursday and continued through Friday and Saturday, with each day bringing new and exciting events. From the traditional ceremonies to the lively dances and heartfelt speeches ..read more

Looking to plan a small wedding in Edmonton? This post was originally written in 2020 (when let’s be honest – it was mandatory) but has been updated for 2023! DM me on Instagram if you have any questions! Small weddings bring me so much joy! They create an intimate gathering of loved ones where every guest feels truly privileged to be part of this special occasion. Today I want to share how to plan a small wedding in Edmonton because it’s not as easy as it sounds—I know this firsthand, as I had a 60-person wedding way before the Pinterest era (yup, that’s me!). I exchanged vows at the Edmonton ..read more

Hey friends! I am so glad you stumbled across my collection of Edmonton engagement photos inspiration today! Engagement photoshoots are one of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer! It’s such a beautiful time to be able to connect with the couple before their big day. During an engagement session, I get to hear about their love story and help bring it to life in photos. This allows us all to have a common language when it comes time for the wedding day. If you’ve never had professional photos taken before, having engagement photos taken is the perfect time to get used to being ..read more

A Gorgeous Wedding at Hillside Acres

Hillside Acres is one of the best Edmonton wedding venues (okay fine – technically it’s outside of Edmonton but as you scroll through the photos here you’ll see why it’s worth the trip)! Seriously, when Marina and Michael told me they chose Hillside Acres as their wedding venue I was THRILLED (and I usually don’t care about the wedding venue – I like to think I’m a photographer for EVERY couple, not just the ones with the fancy venues). On top of that, I honestly just couldn’t wait to photograph Marina and Michael! These two had NEVER had professional photos taken but they were naturals in fro ..read more

When should you book your engagement photos? As soon as you get engaged? Wait until closer to your wedding day? My post last week about one of my favourite engagement photo locations in Edmonton (the Muttart Conservatory!) had me thinking about one of the most frequently asked questions I get as an Edmonton wedding photographer. Is there really a right time to book your engagement photos? Today, I want to share a little advice about the pros and cons of booking your engagement photos too far (or too close) to your wedding day. First, let me just say, there is NO wrong time to document your lo ..read more

I’m taking a small break from my educational content to feature one of my favourite Edmonton engagement photo locations: The Muttart Conservatory! After sending over a recent engagement photo gallery to one of my couples last week, I knew I had to share a little bit of their session here on the blog because the photos were just SO GOOD. I even had a chance to get a little artsy and play with more grain in photos and I am a little obsessed with how it turned out. Not a wedding photographer? More grain basically means the little dots that emulate what film used to look like. It’s an editing tech ..read more
