PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers cornerback Marquis Williams is getting a shot at the NFL despite going undrafted last weekend following his graduation. Williams, who starred at Pitt as an undersized, but excellent starting cornerback for the past four seasons, has received an invited to rookie minicamp with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a report from Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers added a great veteran guard/forward to the Zoo Crew roster ahead of The Basketball Tournament (TBT) regional this summer. Lamar Patterson will join the Zoo Crew, along with the likes of forwards Nike Sibande (2020-23) and Jamel Artis (2013-17). PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have about six months to go before the start of the next season, but even with their 2024-25 schedule not out yet, they already have their opponent in the season opener. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that Pitt will host Radford at the Petersen Events Center on November 4 to kickstart the 2024-25 campaign. PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have added two new games to their future football schedules. According to a repot from Action Network's Brett McMurphy, the Panthers have sceduled a home-and-home series with UCF. McMurphy said Pitt will host the first game at Acisure Stadium in 2026 and visit UCF in Orlando, Florida for the return game in 2029. Exact kickoff times will be announced at a later date.
