Today was a big change from what we experienced yesterday as high temperatures were unable to climb out of the upper 60s. But the biggest difference was the steady rainfall that arrived in the afternoon.
Except for a few localized spots, rain totals for most people managed to stay under a half inch. As rain wraps up this evening, we will gradually clearing for tonight.

CABOOL, Mo. -- A woman is in critical condition after Cabool Police found her trapped under a train car Sunday morning.
The Cabool Police Department (CPD) said officers were notified about a person trapped under a train car near a Britton Avenue residence at 12:18 a.m. When police arrived, they found a woman laying on the railroad tracks with her leg pinned under a train car.
First responders worked to stabilize the woman as police officers and train crews came up with a rescue plan. An ambulance from the Texas County Memorial Hospital took the woman to a Springfield hospital where she is curr ..read more

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — After years of delays and stumbles, Boeing is finally poised to launch astronauts to the International Space Station for NASA.
It’s the first flight of Boeing’s Starliner capsule with a crew on board, a pair of NASA pilots who will check out the spacecraft during the test drive and a weeklong stay at the space station.
NASA turned to U.S. companies for astronaut rides after the space shuttles were retired. Elon Musk's SpaceX has made nine taxi trips for NASA since 2020, while Boeing has managed only a pair of unoccupied test flights.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 14-year-old girl is dead and five other teenagers are recovering after being shot in Buffalo, New York, late Saturday night according to authorities.
Buffalo police say they were called to a parking lot on the city's northside just before 11:30 p.m.
Officers found six teenagers, all between 14 and 16 years old, with gunshot wounds.
The 14-year-old girl was transported to Oishei Children's Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Mystik Dan won the 150th Kentucky Derby in a three-horse photo finish, edging out Sierra Leone by a nose with Forever Young third in the tightest finish since 1996 on Saturday.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Warm temperatures and sunshine sent people outside to enjoy the weather and to the 44-th annual Artsfest in Downtown Springfield on Saturday. It's one of the biggest fine arts festivals in the state and marks the early days of summer and festival season.

OZARK COUNTY, Mo. -- A man from Pottersville, Missouri was found dead in Bryant Creek Saturday after flood waters carried him away along with his vehicle at around 11:57 p.m. on Monday, April 29.
