According to NBA insider Zach Lowe of ESPN, Draymond Green‘s volatility has worn on several people within the Golden State Warriors organization.

Green punched Jordan Poole in the face last season. He also put Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a headlock and struck Phoenix Suns big man Jusuf Nurkic in the head this season.
Green was ejected four times this season. The Warriors lost the 9-10 play-in tournament game to the Sacramento Kings. They will miss the playoffs for the third time in five years.

It will be an uphill climb for the New Orleans Pelicans to get to the NBA playoffs. That was already the case after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the opening play-in game.
Now, the Pelicans will have to face the Sacramento Kings on Friday without Zion Williamson, who is out with a hamstring injury, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Should the Pelicans win, and lock up the No. 8 seed, Williamson could potentially still be out for the playoffs — as Wojnarowski reported he will be re-evaluated “in the coming weeks.”
That doesn’t sound like someone who will be ready to go by Sunday, which is w ..read more

Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter has received a lifetime ban from the NBA for violating the league’s gambling policy.
Among the allegations? That he bet on the Raptors to lose games in which he played.
Porter is the younger brother of Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr.
NBA officials released a statement announcing the decision and explaining the ruling.
“A league investigation found that Porter violated league rules by disclosing confidential information to sports bettors, limiting his own participation in one or more games for betting purposes, and betting on NBA games,” the stat ..read more

During the 2015-16 NBA season, Jimmy Butler didn’t dress with his Chicago Bulls teammates in the locker room and had tense arguments with Joakim Noah.

Derrick Rose revealed these two tidbits in his autobiography called “I’ll Show You,” which was released in 2019.
“Lots of weird stuff was going on, though. I wasn’t sure what it was about, but Jimmy didn’t dress with us. That season he was always dressing with the coaches, didn’t stay in the locker room,” Rose said in his book. “Got to say, I never did see that before. To separate yourself from the team. Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson is set to become an unrestricted free agent, and along with the Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic are expected to have interest, per NBA insider Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Thompson’s teammates and the coaching staff seem to be supportive of the idea that he’s re-signed, but Warriors owner Joe Lacob may have other ideas, Amick wrote.
The Mavs and Magic, meanwhile, reportedly intend to be on the lookout for a veteran shooter this offseason. Thompson, 33, is probably best suited to a bench role these days, but theoretically could s ..read more

Klay Thompson was bad in the Golden State Warriors’ NBA play-in loss to the Sacramento Kings.
How bad? How does 0-of-10 shooting sound? Thompson also was beaten badly on several plays while trying to defend Harrison Barnes and other Kings.
Now, Thompson is about to become an unrestricted free agent and is likely to test the market, per NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic.
“Klay Thompson is very open to seeing his marketplace in free agency,” Charania said on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back. “It’s gonna be the hardest call in his life to make if he does end up finding another spot to leave, as ..read more

The season didn’t end the way Chris Paul had hoped in his first season with the Golden State Warriors. Anyone who saw the Warriors get blown out by the Sacramento Kings in an NBA play-in game already knows that.
But Paul, 38, said he has no plans to call it quits. This despite the fact his game is clearly on the decline and his contributions to Golden State were minimal.
“I’ll talk to my wife and my kids, my family, my support system, see what it looks like,” Paul told Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “But this isn’t (the end of my career). I know it for sure.”
That said, Paul was on a one-year ..read more
