Galena, a 6-year-old house cat from Utah, likes hiding and playing with cardboard.
Earlier this month, the combination of the two made for a stressful trip in an Amazon package, a feverish search, a California rescue and a tearful reunion.
Her family is still waiting to reintroduce cardboard to her again, owner Carrie Clark said Tuesday, because they don't want to stress her out.
Clark got Galena as a kitten after her aunt rescued a pregnant feral cat. The American short hair with calico and Siamese coloring has been a constant companion and source of emotional support.

The smallest markings can be a clue about what was here centuries ago. April is Maryland Archaeology Month.
A professor at Towson University is unearthing layers of prehistorical artifacts, one dig at a time.
If youre in the middle of the woods and no one is living there today and you find a bunch of daffodils that means someone was living there, said Dr. Katherine Sterner, the founder and director of the Baltimore Community Archaeology Lab.
She started the program after realizing there wasnt a lot of funding behind local volunteer programs like the Herring Run Archaeology Project.

Because thats exactly what hundreds of school districts across the county say is happening, and theyre trying to put an end to it.
This is unfair. Its not a level playing field. Its not fair to do this to our kids, said Matthew Hornbeck, principal at Hampstead Hill Academy in Baltimor ..read more

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. For years, Rick Townsend has come to the Columbine Memorial to reconnect with his daughter, Lauren, through her words.
She was one of the 13 who lost their lives in the April 20, 1999 tragedy at Columbine High school.
