Courtesy TCNA ANDERSON, S.C. – Ceramic-tile use in the United States during 2023 dropped 7.3% from the previous year, according to a market update released today from the Tile Council of North America (TCNA). The 2.84 billion ft² of domestic consumption marks the biggest year-over-year decline in five years, and the lowest annual amount of U.S. ceramic-tile use since the pandemic-impacted 2020. ANDERSON, S.C.— A group of U.S. manufacturers will seek special tariffs, possibly more that 800%, on ceramic-tile imports from India. The Coalition for Fair Trade in Ceramic Tile (CFTCT) petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) today to investigate anti-dumping and countervailing (anti-subsidy) practices concerning production and shipment of Indian ceramic tile. XIAMEN, China — The 24th China Xiamen International Stone Fair successfully concluded its March 16-19, 2024, run by drawing more than 150,000 attendees to more than 2 million ft² of exhibits.
