Breaking news … Former Ohio State and current Houston Texans quarterback, C.J. Stroud, is a good dude. Buckeye fans have known that for quite some time, but the rest of the country keeps getting glimpses of how much he cares. After the city of Houston was hit with severe weather and tornados, Stroud decided to get out and do some work. Instead of staying put in the comfortable life of a multimillionaire, the reigning NFL Rookie of the Year went to some of the hardest-hit areas in the city to lend a helping hand. Stroud cut fallen tree branches and helped with debris removal. He even took time ..read more

Former Ohio State wide receiver, Binjimen Victor, is attempting to make a splash in the newly formed United Football League and his impact was felt in a big way as his Birmingham Stallions squad squeaked out a close one against the Houston Roughnecks to the tune of 35-28. This Birmingham team is currently undefeated, sitting at 8-0, and Victor is in a receiver room that features other former collegiate stars like Deon Cain from Clemson, Jace Sternberger from Texas A&M, and Marlon Williams from UCF. This weekend Victor made a splash. He only had one catch, but that one reception went 12 yar ..read more

Did EA Sports troll Ohio State with College Football 25 trailer?
Buckeyes Wire
by Josh Keatley
22h ago
The new trailer for EA Sport’s College Football 25 dropped and it was gorgeous, but also insulting to Ohio State fans everywhere. We are already well aware that the Buckeyes have never had a cover athlete during the history of the game, (Quinshon Judkins doesn’t count as he is only in the background of this year’s version) but this trailer also did not showcase the Buckeyes in a positive light at all. The trailer shows a Michigan player utilize a wicked stiff arm on an Ohio State defender for starters, then the trailer shows former Ohio State quarterback, Kyle McCord, in his new Syracuse Orang ..read more

Buckeyes Wire
by Michael Chen

In the 2025 recruiting cycle, Ohio State football has commitments from more than a few of the top secondary players in the country. One of those is Alabama cornerback, Na’eem Offord, who has been committed to the Buckeyes since early February. At 6-foot, 1-inch and 185-pounds, he’s one of the nation’s best, ranking as the No. 6 overall player and 2nd corner according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. With most 5-stars, it’s a battle until they sign, and it looks like Ohio State is in the midst of one. Offord unofficially visited Oregon over the weekend, and it looks like the visit went well ..read more

If you didn’t see the NBA Western conference semifinals earlier this week, the Minnesota Timberwolves went into the defending champions’ arena and knocked out the Denver Nuggets. Three-time MVP, Nikola Jokic, had his team rolling into halftime, but the T-Wolves mounted a huge comeback and eventually outlasted the Nuggets. Former Ohio State star guard, Mike Conley Jr., finally ended his Game 7 woes, and following the victory, Jokic had some high praise for the Buckeye. Jokic went on to say that Conley is “the most underrated player in the NBA probably. I love that guy. He’s so good.” The guard ..read more

Ohio State baseball makes its return to the Big Ten Tournament
Buckeyes Wire

Although Ohio State baseball didn’t complete a sweep of Rutgers, it was still enough for the Buckeyes to punch a ticket to the Big Ten Tournament. The five-year drought of not competing for an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament has ended, as the Buckeyes last made the tournament in 2019. With a 28-24 record, the only way that Ohio State will be able to continue playing after this week will be to win it all. The conference championship will be played in Omaha, the same city the NCAA College World Series takes place. It is a stretch that Ohio State will make it back there after this week, bu ..read more

Ohio State OT commit Carter Lowe shown being a good teammate and mentor
Buckeyes Wire
by Michael Chen

Not only does Ohio State football recruit great athletes, it is also trying to recruit great people. Offensive tackle commit, Carter Lowe, falls into both categories. In a video shared by his mother while on a trip to New York, the future Buckeye is shown giving pointers to a player who most likely won’t be playing at the same level as himself. Not only is this a testament to how humble Lowe is, but also the fact that he is a great teammate and mentor to fellow players. Being a Buckeyes isn’t just the impact that one can make on the field, the off-field portion is just as important. Lowe is t ..read more

Ohio State defensive end commit Zahir Mathis shows off his impressive gains
Buckeyes Wire
by Michael Chen
22h ago
Although Ohio State football commit, Zahir Mathis, is ranked extremely high — No. 58 overall and the sixth edge rusher according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings — one of the biggest knocks for him as a prospect was his weight. Standing 6-foot, 6-inches, Mathis has the frame to continue to add on weight and it looks like he accomplished that goal since the last season has ended. He is listed at 225-pounds which is solid, but for him to make a mark early in his career he needed to but bigger. In a post Mathis shared on social media, it very much looks like he has done exactly that, as he loo ..read more
