Welcome to a new year friends! I’ve decided to dust the cobwebs off the blog and start sharing more details on this platform. I’m hoping to get a new post out every two weeks or so and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you in a new, fun way! So let’s get to it! I wanted to start off with a little review of 2021. It was such a good year for our family for so many reasons but the addition of our sweet Willow was by far the best part. She was born at home on August 17, in the most peaceful and sacred way. I have plans to write an entire blog post sharing her birth story soon! So stay tuned ..read more

The laundry room is finally complete! It’s been months in the making and to have it finally finished feels like a weight lifted. When we first moved into our house we knew this would be one of the top projects on our list. Our home is over 100 years old, so there is very limited storage space. The laundry room was added in the 1990s, so it definitely needed a revamp. It’s one of the first things you see when you walk in our back door, so I wanted it to have a fun pop of character. So before we get to the final pictures, let’s take a peek at what it looked like when we moved in! Before Bright b ..read more

We are currently under a huge winter storm and so this mama is trying to think of all the indoor activities to keep our kids busy. This morning we thought we would try our hand at homemade bread. I’ve been terribly unsuccessful with sourdough bread in the past, so I knew I wanted to try something a little more simple. Because I can’t just pop over to the store right now (icy roads), I knew the recipe had to be simple and with minimal ingredients. A little research sparked an idea and thankfully I had all the ingredients I needed to make it all work! It took about 20 minutes to prep and another ..read more

Below I’m sharing three beauty products I’m currently loving! Each product contains only naturally derived, non-toxic ingredients, yet are super effective and luxurious. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Tata Harper Tata Harper Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Floral Essence – $94 You guys this stuff is so good! The spray is a hyaluronic acid-powered essence that hydrates, visibly plumps, and helps minimize the look of wrinkles. We did a fun activity this week preparing for our family Easter egg hunt on Sunday. I thought it would be fun to create our own confetti eggs this year and hopefully make a tradition of it! They are super simple to make but take a little time due to drying and collecting eggs. However, you can definitely finish it within a day and a half if you wanted. You can find all the steps below! I hope this helps you create a fun activity at home with your kids too! 1.Collect your eggs as you cook them in the morning. We made a small break on the top of each egg with the end of a spoon, then shook the e ..read more

Below are some favorite supplements I’ve been taking during this season. I’ve linked only the best brands that include no fillers or binders, non-GMO and made from raw and organic sources. Zinc Zinc is critical for the development and function of immune cells. Zinc is also fundamental to skin health, DNA synthesis and protein production, among many other things. Zinc is believed to prevent cold viruses from spreading and reduce inflammation, which may shorten the duration of a cold.  A Cochrane review of clinical trials found that taking zinc within a day of the onset of cold symptoms cou ..read more
