A Bitcoin whale purchased 620 BTC for US$39.8 million during a price dip, indicating a strategic buy at a low.
Since March 21 this investor has acquired 4,380 BTC for a total of US$282.38 million from Binance, at an average price of Meanwhile the number of non-empty wallets increases and trader sentiment could soon shift.
After a significant price drop in BTC, a notable Bitcoin whale took advantage of the lower prices by purchasing an additional 620 BTC, totaling US$39.8 million (AU$60.9 million), effectively buying at the market’s low point.

Authorities in Taiwan are reportedly accusing crypto exchange executives and dozens of others of running a multimillion-dollar crypto scam.
According to a new report by the Taipei Times, prosecutors are charging 32 people with fraud allegedly related to the ACE crypto exchange, recommending 20-year sentences for the four operators of the trading platform.
Those arrested include David Pan and Lin Keng-hong, the founders of the ACE crypto exchange platform, and Wang Chen-huan, the chairman of the firm. The Taiwanese government says that the scheme defrauded about 1,200 out of $24.56 million.

The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has declared that exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to Bitcoin (BTC) or cryptocurrencies have no collateral value as investments.
In an announcement, the DTCC, which provides clearing and settlement services to the financial markets in the US, says digital asset-linked ETFs will be subject to a 100% “haircut.”
“No collateral value will be given for any ETF or other investment vehicle that includes Bitcoin or any other
cryptocurrency as an underlying investment, hence will be subject to a 100% haircut.”

Ethereum (ETH) rival Solana (SOL) is seeing a “dramatic increase” in professional investor allocations this year, according to a new survey conducted by the digital assets manager CoinShares.
CoinShares polled 64 investors worldwide who cover a combined $600 billion worth of assets under management.

Police in the United Kingdom (UK) can now seize crypto assets from suspects without making any arrests.
New legislation came into effect on Friday giving additional crypto-related powers to the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) and police, according to a new government announcement.
The announcement notes that the expanded powers will enable authorities to seize crypto from “sophisticated criminals” who remain anonymous or are based overseas. Police will also be empowered to seize physical items related to crypto investigations like flash drives and written passwords.

The chairman of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) reportedly isn’t convinced it’s in his institution’s best interest to hold Bitcoin (BTC) as a reserve currency.
While speaking at the central bank’s annual general meeting on Friday, Thomas Jordan argued that there are downsides to holding the top crypto asset, according to a report from Reuters.
