Another seed list, before the madness truly begins again. Also, a historical tidbit, no team has ever won the national championship after losing their first conference tourney game. So for Creighton and Duke, a run to the championship would defy history. 1 Seeds 1. Purdue 2. Connecticut 3. Houston 4. Tennessee 2 Seeds 5. North Carolina 6. Arizona 7. Marquette 8.  Today's bracketology doesn't have time for full match-ups, but here is a seed list to give a rough idea of how teams stand going into today. These next three days are going to be absolutely incredible. So much high level basketball will be played, enjoy every second of it. Seed List 1 Seeds 1. Purdue 2. Connecticut 3. Houston 4. With conference tournaments in fullswing, the bubble gets even more focus. In particular, the group everyone will be watching out for are the bid theives. We have already seen our first potential bid thief, with Drake upsetting Indiana State in the MVC final. The question is, who did Drake steal a tourney bid from? Was it from another bubble team, or Indiana State? The Sycamores now have to wait an agonizing week to find out if they will be dancing or not. Their resume is solid, but they have no further opportunities to improve it, something that other bubble teams have. Time will tell if any ..read more

The conference tournaments are in full swing at the mid-major level, and with it comes the most intense basketball so far this season. For the one bid leagues, the conference tournament is literally do or die, and we have already seen some fantastic basketball, particularly in the Atlantic Sun. For the conference tournaments, the highest seeded team remaining in the tournament is now the auto-bid representive, until the tournament concludes and the champion takes that spot. So after Eastern Kentucky was upset, Stetson is now the auto-bid for the time being. For the big conferences, these are t ..read more

At this point in the season, the hope is that the bubble has taken care of itself. The tourney teams have strung together the wins, the non-tourney teams have faltered, and that the cutline has become very clear. It never works out that way. As of today, the bubble is as chaotic and messy as it normally is. The bubble itself actually isn't awful this season, but the lines separating the tourney and non-tourney teams are near invisible. Including a stunning four Big East teams between the Last Four In and First Four out. Now, the bubble will clear up slightly, as meh teams will drop games ..read more

It has arrived. March is here, and we are all better off for it. The stakes get higher, the play more intense, and our ulcers grow larger. It truly is the best time of the year. As things currently stand, honestly th 7-10 lines have very little separating them. You could put it in most any order and it would make sense. These next two weeks provide a lot of opportunity for a team to break through, but also to drop like a stone.  These next two weeks will tell a lot, and we should enjoy every second of it. As always, go to https://www.bracketmatrix.com/ for more awesome brackets. Midw ..read more

As the calendar comes closer to March, opportunities arise for teams to solidify their spots on the bracket. Not all opportunities are created equal, and some teams have been able to improve their standing dramatically. Wake Forest always had great metrics, but lacked that top notch win that would be the lynchpin of the resume. After Saturday's win over Duke, Wake now is on the right side of the cutline with a little room to spare. On the flip side, New Mexico took a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad loss to Air Force on Saturday, taking what was a solid resume into bubble territory. There ..read more
